Ah, Valentine’s Day. In a new relationship, it’s a big deal. At the end of a relationship, you just wish it didn’t exist.
I love GALentine’s – when girlfriends make the day about love for their friends. That was yesterday, Feb. 13th.
But there doesn’t seem to be an equivalent for men. MALentine’s? GUYentine’s? Wait – are you telling me that a bunch of men wouldn’t mark this day together? They don’t gather for dinner and give each other chocolate treats? Toast each other’s best qualities? Hug – repeatedly?
Huh. Well, you learn something every day! *wink*
We have wonderful friends coming for dinner at our place. When we got together over Christmas, this was the first date that we all had open. So, why not? Call it FRIENDentine’s. Laughter over chicken and pasta and non-alcoholic beer.
Do it whatever way you choose, or choose to ignore it. Regardless, I love you for visiting here today. ❤︎
Derek and I eloped but if we’d had a traditional wedding, this would have been our first dance song. Or maybe I would have walked down the aisle to it. The original No Matter What by Bandfinger is fantastic but I can’t resist the faithful cover by Def Leppard. Enjoy!
Sport-entine, large screen TV, game, beer and wings we’ll get together high five, fist pump and hug after the game. Oh, we might even talk about our partners.
There it is! 😂
MENintine’s Day is every Saturday night watching Hockey Night in Canada! Sausage party!
HAHA! And then, talking about your feelings?!
