Anytime you hear one of your American friends, or their President, spouting the lie that universal health care is a failure, play them this one-minute snippet of video, please. (Contains swearing!)
For a time, Jim Carrey was poorer than most of us can imagine, in Newmarket, Ontario. After his father lost his job as an accountant and couldn’t find work, the family lived in a van. Jim, his three older siblings and his parents cleaned office buildings at night. The kids still went to school during the day.
Here’s what Jim told Bill Maher last week about Donald Trump’s claims that Canada’s health care system is a failure. (And you know Trump’s only saying that because Barack Obama held up our health care as an ideal.)
Great post, great talent! Jim too!
