My Little Sister Tabitha, gave birth to a daughter late last week, making me a “Gamma” for a second time. Vienna was 7 lbs., 5 ounces, and perfect. She also set a family record for length of time spent in hospital for a birth. They checked in at about 11 am and were home, baby in arms, by 4:15 pm.
Vienna arrived the day before her big brother Ryker’s third birthday. Dual celebrations for life! And Ryker was pretty excited to meet this new little creature with a shock of black hair. He doesn’t know it yet, but he’s going to be protective of her. Forever.
He also loved his presents – a book (he always gets a book from me and he loves to read!) and an erasable drawing board.
I didn’t give birth to Tabitha, and she already has a Mom – but I couldn’t love her more if she were my own. And these little humans she’s given birth to, well, my heart busts through its frame, like the Grinch’s when he finally understands the true meaning of Christmas.
Ryker loves to give hugs. And when you say, I love you Ryker, he responds with, uh-huh! It’s adorable. Excuse me…there seems to be something in my eyes…
Congratulations Lisa! 2 beautiful Grandbabies
SO lovely. Glad everyone is safe and healthy. Babies make everything just a little better.
