Prior to and during the holidays we are deluged with anti-drinking and driving messages. This year, one stuck out and became a bit of a hit on Twitter, at least in the London area.
London police used humour, in the form of sarcasm, along with a bit of harsh reality.
Twelve people were put in these cells on New Year’s Eve, for various reasons, including drunk driving. Did the tweet accomplish its goal? I’d say yes. The point of social media is “impressions” and this one certainly made a lot of them.
