Fake, fake, fake, fake, fake! I hate it when my BS detector lets me down. The photo of Cindy Crawford, supposedly unretouched and showing her with a crinkled and age-appropriate belly, is a fake. The woman herself finally spoke out about it a little while ago, and somehow, I missed it. Maybe you did too.
When the image was released in February, Crawford said nothing. The photographer said it had been manipulated and we waited for Cindy to speak. But she was conflicted, she says, because people were loving the photo. It made them feel better. “She’s just like us!”
She told Elle Canada, “It put me in a tough spot: I couldn’t come out against it because I’m rejecting all these people who felt good about it, but I also didn’t embrace it because it wasn’t real—and even if it were real, I wouldn’t have wanted it out there. I felt really manipulated and conflicted, so I kept my mouth shut.”
I don’t want Cindy Crawford to have an unattractive stomach. She’s one of the good ones! But if it turned out that Gisele had cellulite on her thighs, well, it wouldn’t make me sad. However, even if I see a picture of it, I wouldn’t believe it now.
