Props to the Calgary Humane Society. Their cheesy idea to promote cat adoption worked and the video, Used Cat Salesman, has gone viral.
As often happens in cities all over the world, thanks to wandering, unfixed, outdoor felines with love on their minds, the CHS was bursting with adoptable cats. So they decided to host a Cat-Tastic Pawty last Saturday with reduced adoption fees, in hopes of finding forever homes for their cats. To promote it, they came up with a purposely low-budget-looking, used-car-salesman concept for a YouTube video. It worked like a charm for the cats so they extended it to all animals, moving more than 100 out of the shelter and into new families. It’s a delightfully over-acted parody – enjoy.
