As I’ve mentioned before, I audition like a maniac for all sorts of voice gigs. And I only win a fraction of them but I consistently get a fraction and I’m told that makes me successful!
So when Voices.com asked if I would consider recording a podcast offering my tips for doing a good audition, I leapt at it. It went online last week and the feedback I’m getting is overwhelmingly positive. Some voice talents are worried about helping competitors but I believe that what goes around comes around. I have gotten a couple of great gigs due to referrals from other voice artists (and submitting the winning audition, of course) so I take the view that the success pie expands to accommodate others, not that it gets smaller for me when they get a piece of it.
My podcast contains my top five tips for auditioning from your home studio. And if you’re interested, it’s right HERE.
You were very generous to share so many salient and wise tips with those who would love to partake in the Voices.com adventure. Congratulations to you on your success, and moreover, on your generosity. Good Karma on its way, by the pant load!
