You get to a point in your career where you think you’ve made all of the big boo-boos you’re going to make. I expect to continue to make mistakes, but not like the legendary error I made on Friday.
What you’re about to hear happened during my 7:30 am newscast. I share it not because I’m proud of it but because it’s funny, natural and certainly not the kind of thing you hear on the radio every day! I played it for my Fanshawe College students on Friday. They all said they were relieved they weren’t the only ones who made mistakes. Far from it!

If you’re wondering, my bosses all laughed. The big boss called immediately and was laughing so hard he could barely speak. So, I’m lucky that way!
Excellent! An easy enough mistake to make, very laughable and certainly would have caught my attention no matter what I was doing if I heard that live. I can’t honestly recall you ever making a similar mistake while at 680, at least not that I can recall. Thumbs up!
I can’t remember anything similar there except one day I couldn’t keep it together while Paul was doing some rude actions with a Blue Jay mascot doll! That wasn’t a slip-up, though, that was a test!
hahaha love it Lisa! Nice to hear that you are human….we all make that kind of mistake – Great to get a smile in the morning
Sh*t happens. Kudos to you for posting. Maybe you will, maybe you won’t, but none of us will remember this on our deathbed. Unless we are looking for laughs, which is okay right?
Ahhhh!! LOL I guess this is evidence that it happens to the best of us.
