Let’s end this era of molly-coddling some businesses while leaving others to flail in the wind. The federal government finally plans to get rid of bundling TV stations from cable or satellite providers and I think it’s long overdue. And so I randt.

One of the reasons that I won’t sign up for cable TV is I want “a la carte” choices. Your Harper government is not on my Favorites list, but this is a definite plus.
The flexibility of pick and pay, will also directly result in a reduction of flexibility in choice for viewers. Many of the selections we enjoy now, such as most of the cultural, alternative language and specialty channels only survive by being bundled in a package which offsets their operating costs. This move, although welcome by many, will backfire just as the push to have a 4TH wireless carrier has become a disaster. Bundling will continue to exist going forward, it simply will take another form much like bundling the features on your phone or linking your home phone with your cell phone and Internet, its all the same.
