I used to lose track of pens. Now I lose my glasses. I have 6 or 8 readers floating around here somewhere but there never seems to be a pair in the room I’m in. I realize I’m not alone – forgetfulness is rampant! So I hope you get a giggle from this.

My dear Lisa, maybe we have to resort to a very old method for assisting you in keeping track of at least one pair of glasses, and that will be the pair hanging on a strap around your neck. Back in the day, you use to be able, and likely still can, get an adjustable strap which would fit over the arms of your glasses and over your head allowing the glasses to hang much like a camera would. This way, you will always have at least one pair of glasses at the ready any time you require them.
The other option, purchase a glass holder for each room, place it in a strategic location and assign a pair of glasses to each holder. However in retrospect, this likely won’t work either since you’ll frequently walk out of the room with glasses in hand and eventually they will all congregate in one or two rooms.
And there lies the problem. Sigh.
so, now that we’ve identified the problem, we’ll now apply reverse psychology. Take a small container and place it in a strategic locations, say in the kitchen, now gather up all your glasses and place them in the container. The theory is, when you’re looking for a pair of glasses, you’ll know that they’re initially all located in one place, you’ll go get a pair and likely leave them in the room your in, but given that the kitchen is often a focus of most households, there is also a reasonable probability that as your leaving a given room, that you’ll pick up your glasses and place them back in the central location. yes, I fully realize that my theory is fraught with problems, primarily human idiosyncrasies.
But it’s worth a shot! My current method isn’t working well so what have I got to lose? I’ll experiment and report back.
I think the cat’s taking them. Yeah, that’s the ticket…
