In recent weeks astronaut Chris Hadfield has become one of the coolest people off the planet.
The Canadian is head of the International Space Station, partway through a 5-month mission and he’s been sending out amazing photographs via his Twitter feed. His Twitter exchange with Captain James T. Kirk, William Shatner, was so entertaining that the Canadian Space Agency has set up a phone call between the two men that will be broadcast live on its website.
Now Sun Media has dreamed up a really neat contest where five peoples’ questions will be chosen to give to Hadfield and he will answer them from his lofty vantage point. You can find the details at this link: Ask Hadfield A Question.
Although I think it’s amazing and cool I can’t think of one thing to ask the man. He has already explained quite a bit about himself and his adventure so I’m sure more inquisitive minds than mine will come up with interesting things to ponder. I do know that I could never, ever do what he is doing. I wouldn’t survive the claustrophobia from being locked in a small tube for the ride up. He is one of the most physically fit men on the planet and possibly also one of the smartest. Oh I just thought of a question. How do you make a cup of coffee in space?
