Longtime visitors here will recall that I’ve been critical of Dick Clark around New Year’s Eve for several years now and I stand behind my opinion that he should have hung up his microphone years ago.
But that doesn’t take away the fact that the man gave us decades of enjoyment and entertainment.
Dick died at 82 of a heart attack, just like my mother-in-law Audrey. Â He lived a good life personally and professionally. Â There isn’t much more any of us can ask of our time on this revolving ball we call earth.
Thanks for the music and the good times, Dick.
