Perhaps you missed this one. Although I’m not hockey’s biggest fan, it brings a tear to my eye to see what happens when a bunch of guys playing pick-up hockey get the star treatment. My pal and former Rogers Radio colleague Don Landry plays himself doing what he does best as the broadcast announcer preparing for the secret show. This is the full-length version. A shorter one appeared during the big game. It’s so very Canadian, eh?

That’s a fantastic commercial! I still get chills every time I watch it!
I have friends who live in Port Credit that are just going to love this. What a great commercial. What a super thing to do for the players.
Thanks for this, Lisa. Hubby Rob, who plays weekly (careful, spell check!) at Moss Park, said his fave moment was the guy at the end sitting on the ice, smiling. I missed this ad during the game (we taped it and ffwded to see the ads). Hell I even missed MIA’s finger. Thank goodness….I’d hate to be corrupted by a dangerous digit. Loved a tweet that said “any Madonna bagging must be accompanied by video of you dancing at 52”. Kinda puts it all in perspective, huh? xo E
I’m with Rob. That guy looks like he’s halfway between a laugh and a cry! I just love it. That tweet was by Jeannie Gaffigan, wife of comedian Jim. However, most of us have the good sense to give up certain things when we reach a certain age! But still, she did have a point.
