There is a lot to be thankful for. If you’ve been coming here for a while, you’ll know that I had a close call with my health at the beginning of the year so the fact that I’m still here to be thankful at all is something I’m very thankful for!
I’m also thankful that my Mom wouldn’t hear of me making Thanksgiving dinner on my birthday weekend so she cooked an excellent meal for us yesterday.
I’m thankful for my husband for making me laugh and feel safe and happy.
I’m thankful that I have lots of choices in this life, from the kind of work I want to do to what I want to eat. I’m thankful I was born Canadian.
I’m thankful that I have great friends and Facebook friends; a few fall into both categories.
I’m thankful for the forgiveness of Lycra and the breathability of cotton – a crucial thing for someone like me who almost always feels too warm!
I’m thankful that this blog that started many years ago as an outlet for me to express myself and practise writing, has been so much fun to add to and that you bother to spend some of your day coming here. And I hope you feel you have a lot to be thankful for, too.
I’m thankful that your blog is here to frequently offer me a laugh or smile at the beginning of my day, and I’m thankful that your still here and able to write your expressive posts.
I should also say, that I’m thankful for that big black thing whose ear is all healed up and constantly reminds me, to take time out and smell the roses or whatever happens to be so interesting along our journeys.
Thanks Allan. Dogs are great for reminding you to notice the moment. I think I destroyed the image of motorcycle riders today in Port Stanley when I yelled, “ooooh, look at the pretty Beagle!” 🙂
