Last night was my last night with Ivy.
Ivy the IV will be unhooked this morning and I can start taking antibiotics via pills. This is great news! My recovery is going as planned and as long as everything stays on track, I should be good as new by the end of the month. The doctors are thrilled and I’m just tickled. I’ve had quite enough of being on the DL. Pretty soon I’ll be saying, “Put me back in coach!”

Congrats on your recovery! You keep an eye on everything for a while ahead, just in case! Karen keeps plodding along and will, God willing, for quite a while yet.

I’ve thought about Karen a lot. I’m lucky I only had to do this for 4 weeks. They’re leaving the picc line in for now but I’m predicting that they won’t have to use it again. I sure hope not!

I’ve considered having it shaved off! But seriously, I’m pretty good at the one-armed wash now. I still have the picc line in my arm so I will have to do it for a couple more weeks. It’s not a big hardship!
