More than a metre of snow fell here during Snowmageddon. Some beautiful formations, like glaciers, have been created by the freeze-thaw-freeze conditions.
I snapped a photo of these icicles through our kitchen window. They looked so elegant. Usually they’re straight up and down but I loved their angle.
I captured them just in time because in the next few minutes they all fell. Big chunks of ice have fallen off bigger buildings and the record snowfall has become a big, sloppy mess. A sidewalk clearing machine came down our walk on Saturday morning. The city has 3 of them and they’ve been working almost non stop to finally make it to Byron. Although it was inconvenient, it was also very pretty after the big storm, but beauty fades!
