I’m convinced that all it takes is one stupid person whose level of responsiblity is greater than their ability and you end up with a decision like the one that follows. It’s legit, from the London Telegraph.
The owner of an employment agency tried to place a help-wanted ad in Thetford, Norfolk, England. The woman, Nicole Mamo, wanted to say that applicants for the 5.80 pound-per-hour ($8.50 Canadian) position of cleaner “must be very reliable and hard-working.” But the Thetford Jobcentre refused to run the ad. “They said it was because they could have cases against them for discriminating against unreliable people,” Mamo said.
You just can’t make this stuff up.
