…This is the story of a helpful friend, sleep-deprivation that became a little desperate, and my huge mistake in judgment. I can laugh about it now, a little. But it sure wasn’t funny at the time.
…Have you ever had something in your life that felt so big and overwhelming, that the thought of talking about it made you feel like you might explode? Of course you have. We all have. And that’s what this post is about. It’s the reason why I haven’t broached the subject here, or on our Gracefully and Frankly podcast, or with anyone except those closest to me, and one nice woman I recently met.

Our collective sleep quality and quantity is one of many things negatively affected by the pandemic. People who never had trouble sleeping now have bouts of insomnia. With any luck, extra sleep will come today. Mama loves her long weekends! …
Every once in a while I forget I’m not supposed to lift anything heavy. After all, this not-lifting thing is only a couple of years old, since my whiplash injury in a car accident on Springbank Drive in February 2011. I’ve taken good care of it and recovered quite nicely. …
Between the murderous rampage in DC and the deadly bus/train collision in Ottawa, it’s been a hard week to be a caring human being. So this is a little diversion from all that. …
Last night I slept at sleep-away camp again. Â South Street Hospital, here in London, at the sleep lab clinic for my third sleep study. Â This time they had me try the CPAP mask to see if it would relieve my sleep apnea. …
