(It Felt Like) Five Seconds of Summer

Summer isn’t my favourite season. I much prefer the spring and fall. In fact, while everyone else in Ontario complains that this was the summer that wasn’t, I’m the rare bird who’s quite pleased with Mother Nature’s work. A little cooler, a little drier; alright by me.

However, it’s the symbolism of summer that appeals to me. The freedom and breaks from the routine. The season doesn’t officially end until the 22nd of the month but we all know that the Labour Day weekend is its symbolic end.

The first few and last few seconds of this seven-year-old ad sum up the way I feel about the end of summer.

  1. I have truly enjoyed this summer. The weather has been perfect for getting out doors and doing things without the swet running down your back/front and I’ve still been able to swim in our complex outdoor pool even when the water temp of 22C matched the air tempature.
