Twitter Twits and Worse

My Twitter rule is that I will follow anyone who follows me unless they are:

  1. A spammer.
  2. Too lazy to change their profile picture from the default egg.
  3. These guys.

banner at top is navy with white cartoon drawings of trophies and a soccer ball but the photo to the left is armed men on a tank. The writing is all in Arabic.

The soccer ball and trophies don’t really go with the guys wearing camo and ammo in the photo, do they? I translated some of their tweets. They’re pretty repetitious. Each one refers to God and then either penance or wrong-doing or payback or … you get the idea.

So … why are they following me? Is it because I posted a rather (I thought) humourous post about wanting to find a signature outfit like the Pope’s? I am not a big fish in the ocean of Twitter. I’m also an adult Western female with a career who wears makeup. It just doesn’t make sense. But neither does the Internet, social media, or the wearing of flak jackets in your profile picture. Maybe it’s just foreign spam. But it gives heebies to my jeebies.
