Goodness Knows We Need a Laugh

It’s three years this week since I returned to a full-time news gig.  And instead of growing a tougher skin, time seems to have made me even more sensitive to the stories I read every day. This week has been particularly brutal.   Stories about the abuse and neglect of children and pets are usually the worst.  But a gunman killing people whose job it is to protect the public, is right up there. It’s like a giant middle finger to all of us that says oh yeah? If I take out your protector, then what are you going to do? It’s beyond heinous and sad for the families of the murdered RCMP officers and the city of Moncton having to live in terror.

I’ve decided we need a distraction and as a voice artist, I am very impressed with the work that went into this video.  It’s one in a series of Pet Interviews.  For a laugh, for a break from the serious and solemn, I give you, Guinea Pig.
