Full disclosure: I dye my hair. But if hair colouring was outlawed tomorrow I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. I think about letting it go natural all the time. I don’t because I don’t want to endure the potentially awful growing-out process. One day I will. Probably when I’m not a public figure anymore.
Still, I think the relentless pursuit of a more youthful look should not be our priority. And I point the finger of blame at the young! Enjoy.
Unfortunately, youthful appearances and desires isn’t limited to the whims of the young or men seeking to turn back the clock. Who cares? Every employer who sits down across the table from a prospective employee, women of all ages seeking that perfect guy and society in general who continue to be blinded by appearances verses substance.
