Every year the breast cancer awareness people find a new way to draw attention to the cause.
I respect and applaud those who run for the cure and I’m impressed with how well organized the entire fund-raising effort is surrounding this terrible disease. But they do put out misleading stats. They say 1 in 9 women will get breast cancer. My OB/GYN whose job it is to keep up with this stuff says it’s 1 in 27. That’s a big difference. But I digress. The fund-raisers and awareness-makers do a great job. They have NFL players running around in pink shoes for goodness sake. But this has to be my favourite breast cancer awareness T-shirt.
This is great. I heard today about another t-shirt out there that said: “YES they’re fake – my real ones tried to kill me!” So many great ways to get the message across. Anything to keep people talking, checking, giving. Thanks Lisa.
